Main Street Hero Award

Ray Van Dusen (2024)

Ray Van Dusen was one of five recipients of a Main Street Hero Award. Aberdeen, Amory and Nettleton Main Street associations co-sponsored the nomination.

Mississippi’s Main Street Merchant of they Year Award

Flora Outlaw (2023)

Flora Outlaw, longtime downtown retailer Flora Outlaw was awarded Mississippi’s Main Street Merchant of the Year.

Main Street Hero Award

Dwight Stevens (2023)

Dwight Stevens was awarded one of four statewide Main Street Hero awards. Dwight has a heart for Aberdeen and founded a non-profit Save Aberdeen Landmarks, to save and restore historic buildings.

Mississippi’s Main Street Merchant of they Year Award

Franki Provias (2021)

Franki Provias (on the right), was awarded the Main Street Hero Award.

Outstanding Adaptive Reuse Project

Aberdeen Main Street Depot (2021)

Aberdeen Main Street was recognized at the ceremony for the Outstanding Adaptive Reuse Project for transforming the Aberdeen Main Street Depot from a vacant building into both the organization’s office and a vibrant event space for the farmers market, community events, and private functions.
